EPR-100 Epoxy Primer

Price range: £97.00 through £425.00

EPR-100 Epoxy Primer ensures strong adhesion to metals, concrete, fibreglass, and certain plastics, essential for excellent substrate preparation. It penetrates well on concrete and polymer-modified screeds, acts as a scratch-coat with sand, and primes properly prepared metal surfaces effectively.

Description

EPR-100 Epoxy Primer

EPR-100 Epoxy Primer is designed to promote strong adhesion to various surfaces, including metals, concrete, fibreglass, and certain plastics. This adhesion is crucial for ensuring that the subsequent layers of coating adhere well to the substrate with good penetrating properties for use on concrete and polymer modified cementitious screeds. Can be used as general surface scratch-coat (in combination with sand or fine quartz sands). It also acts as a very good primer for metal substrates that have been prepared correctly.

COVERAGE
Coverage varies widely based on substrate porosity and profile.
– 5kg: Covers 7 to 10 m²
– 10kg: Covers 18.75 to 25 m²
– 15kg: Covers 35 to 50 m²
*Note: Coverage rates are theoretical and may vary based on actual site conditions and substrate characteristics.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pour Component B (hardener) into Component A (resin).
2. Mix for at least 3 minutes using a low-speed paddle mixer (300-400rpm).
3. Scrape the bucket sides and bottom with a spatula.
4. Transfer the mixture to a clean bucket and mix for an additional minute.

APPLICATION METHOD
1. Apply the mixed primer immediately in a thin, continuous film.
2. As a primer, apply at 200-300g/m².
3. Work the primer into the surface using a squeegee, then roll to avoid pooling.
4. On porous surfaces, ensure complete surface sealing by using sufficient primer.
4. Apply two coats of EPR-100 to ensure a fully sealed surface.

EPR-100 is your ideal solution for promoting adhesion, enhancing durability, and providing excellent protection against chemicals and abrasion for all your priming needs.

Safety: It’s important to use resin in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate safety gear, such as gloves and eye protection, due to its fumes and potential skin irritants. Proper safety measures are essential when working with resin.
