DPM-230 Deep Penetrating Membrane Epoxy Primer

DPM-230 Primer is a two-component Epoxy primer with good penetrating properties for use on concrete and polymer modified cementitious screeds. DPM-230 Primer is designed to improve the adhesion of floor toppings to the substrate. Designed to function as a damp proof membrane (2 coats needed) to retain residual moisture on concrete.

COVERAGE
Coverage varies widely due to substrate porosity and profile.
– 5kg: Covers 7 to 10 m²
– 10kg: Covers 18.75 to 25 m²
– 15kg: Covers 35 to 50 m²

RECOMMENDED APPLICATION
– Apply two coats to act as a damp-proof membrane.
– Pigment each coat differently to identify the two priming layers if required.
– Apply coats at right angles to each other for optimal coverage.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pour Component B (hardener) into Component A (resin).
2. Mix for at least 3 minutes using a low-speed paddle mixer (300-400rpm)
3. Scrape the bucket sides and bottom with a spatula.
4. Transfer the mixture to a clean bucket and mix for an additional minute.

APPLICATION METHOD
1. Apply the mixed primer immediately in a thin, continuous film.
2. Work the primer into the surface using a squeegee, then roll to avoid pooling.
3. On porous surfaces, ensure complete surface sealing by using sufficient primer.
4. Apply two coats of DPM-230 to ensure a fully sealed surface.
